About the Role:
INCM (www.incm.pt) is a Portuguese company recognized, nationally and internationally, as a leader in security products and services.
We issue documents used by millions of people daily, such as the Citizen Card or the Portuguese Electronic Passport, as well as identification documents and passports to other countries.
We are looking for a Junior System Administrator (w/m) to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to grow in a dynamic and secure IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers (physical, virtual, and cloud-based).
* Support system updates and patches to ensure security and stability.
* Help monitor system performance and report issues to senior team members.
* Contribute to the automation of routine tasks using basic scripting.
* Manage user accounts and access permissions under supervision.
* Maintain and update system documentation with guidance from senior staff.
* Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Interest in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, containers).
* Familiarity with Office 365 tools (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
* Willingness to learn, good communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to Have (Optional):
* Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Ansible) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
* Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
