The Portuguese venue launches in Lisbon near the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge, offering spectacular views over the city and the Tagus River. In addition to regular public sessions, Dinner in the Sky Portugal hosts corporate events, brand activations, and special experiences with chefs, wineries, and partners across the country.
Because the concept travels and operates in different locations, the team supports both the Lisbon venue and occasional events throughout Portugal.
Job Description
We are seeking a Event Host & Guest Experience Manager to join the core operational team of Dinner in the Sky Portugal.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lisbon, focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience while ensuring safety and operational excellence during each event.
The role combines hospitality, event hosting, and hands-on operational work. The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, guiding them through the experience, conducting safety briefings, assisting with seating and harnessing procedures, and maintaining an engaging and positive atmosphere during the event.
An important part of this role is creating a fun and memorable atmosphere for guests. We are looking for someone who naturally brings positive energy to the team and to every group of guests — someone who smiles easily, enjoys interacting with people, and can make guests feel comfortable, excited, and entertained throughout the experience.
In addition, the role involves supporting the physical setup and dismantling of the Dinner in the Sky platform and occasionally traveling within Portugal to support events in other locations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Welcome guests and guide them through the Dinner in the Sky experience from arrival to departure.
* Deliver clear, engaging, and confident safety briefings before each session.
* Assist guests with seating, harnessing, and ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
* Help manage the flow of guests during boarding and disembarkation.
* Act as a host and entertainer during the experience, creating a fun, relaxed, and positive atmosphere for guests.
* Engage guests with enthusiasm, humor, and friendly conversation throughout the event.
* Support the physical setup and dismantling of the Dinner in the Sky platform and associated equipment.
* Assist with operational logistics, including equipment preparation and venue organization.
* Work closely with chefs, crew members, and operations staff to ensure smooth execution of each event.
* Occasionally travel to other locations in Portugal to support special events or temporary installations.

Qualifications
* Experience in hospitality, tourism, events, entertainment, or guest experience roles is strongly preferred.
* Naturally friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality with a genuine enthusiasm for working with people.
* Comfortable speaking to groups and engaging guests in a fun, confident, and welcoming way.
* Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism when managing safety procedures.
* Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on operational work, including lifting and assembling equipment.
* Comfortable working at heights and following strict safety procedures.
* Willingness to travel occasionally within Portugal to support events in different locations.
* Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to remain calm and organized in fast-paced environments.
* Fluency in English and Portuguese is required; additional languages are an advantage.
* Previous experience as a tour guide, event host, activity instructor, entertainer, or hospitality host is a strong advantage.
