The role of Credit Analyst at a leading organization involves implementing global credit policies, tailoring them to meet regional requirements, and ensuring adherence to stringent governance standards.
Main Responsibilities
* Evaluating credit risk, managing credit limits, and preparing comprehensive credit assessment reports.
* Implementing regional model changes and providing primary support for credit-related inquiries.
* Monitoring customer credit limits daily to manage risk, analyzing customer financial documents, credit histories, company profiles, and industry trends to determine creditworthiness.
* Providing counsel to senior management on making customer credit limit changes and decisions.
* Assigning credit limits and recommending payment terms based on risk profiles.
* Collaborating with sales, finance, and project teams to understand and mitigate operational and financial risks.
* Quantifying credit exposure and proposing risk mitigation strategies like guarantees or insurance.
* Implementing credit limit adjustments and releasing blocked orders as directed by management.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Ongoing studies for CFA or other certifications (e.g., FRM) are advantageous but not required.
* 3-6 years of experience in credit assessment, financial evaluation, or internships within finance-related positions.
* Familiarity with credit risk, financial analysis, or corporate finance concepts is preferred.
* Strong understanding of financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements).
* Meticulous attention to detail when reviewing documents or reports.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
