We are looking for a Cobol Senior Developer (French) to join us in Porto.
Responsibilities
* Enhance Applications: Develop and improve existing applications, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our users.
* Support COBOL Components: Work on our legacy IBM Mainframe (Z/OS) COBOL component, maintaining and enhancing its functionality.
* Support Distributed applications: Support the platforms by making configurations and managing PowerShell scripts, maintaining and enhancing its functionality.
* Streamline Deployments: Handle software packages from suppliers, integrating them into our pipelines for seamless releases.
* Feature Implementation: Drive the implementation of new features to enhance our payment processing capabilities.
* Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with cross‑functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Troubleshoot Issues: Quickly identify and resolve application issues to minimize service disruption.
* Documentation: Maintain and enhance documentation related to application support and development processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
Requirements
* Language Skills: Proficiency in English or French (minimum B2 level).
* Payment Knowledge: Knowledge of SCT and SDD schemas.
* Technical Skills: Experience with PowerShell scripting and knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and IBM Mainframe (Z/OS).
* Supplier Management: Experience in handling software supplier packages effectively.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to provide thorough analyses and develop technical or business specifications.
* Deployment Familiarity: Familiarity with Jenkins to optimize our deployment processes.
* Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders in a collaborative team environment.
* Prior experience in business analyses.
* Proficiency in both English and French for effective communication across diverse teams.
* Background in the financial services industry, especially with SEPA payments.
* Experience with XL Release and XL Deploy for streamlined deployment processes.
