is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented
Commercial Manager
to lead the operations and commercial strategy of our location in Porto. This role combines team leadership with business development responsibilities, making it ideal for a professional with strong operational experience and a passion for sales — especially in the corporate and B2B space.
As
Commercial Manager
, you will be responsible for the smooth daily functioning of the location, while also driving revenue through corporate partnerships, B2B sales, and local business outreach. You will play a key role in ensuring both customer satisfaction and sustainable commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all daily operations at our location in Porto (we are open from Wednesday to Sunday), ensuring efficiency, safety, and a high standard of service.
* Lead and manage a team of 3 employees, including scheduling, performance management, and staff development.
* Develop and execute sales strategies with a focus on corporate sales, events, and group experiences.
* Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, event agencies, and corporate clients to drive B2B revenue.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols, cash handling procedures, and internal policies.
* Monitor venue appearance and maintenance to support a premium customer experience.
* Handle customer issues and feedback with professionalism and prompt resolution.
* Track and analyse performance metrics and KPIs, using data to inform decision-making and improve results.
* Collaborate with the team in Lisbon on marketing, promotions, and operational improvements.
* Stay current on industry trends and local market opportunities.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Demonstrated experience in a management role, preferably in the leisure, hospitality, or retail sectors.
* Strong sales acumen, particularly in corporate or B2B sales and client relationship building.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach.
* Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Hospitality, or related field is a plus.
* Previous experience managing a venue, event space, or customer-facing location.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
