Job Description:

PURPOSE

The person will be supporting the development of the Ormco business activities in Porto & Aveiro and Azores locations. You will explore sales growth opportunities and sales development to our distribution partners as well as cultivating relationships. Develop leads from our distribution channels by creatively finding ways to penetrate the market and generate additional leads (through e.g. tenders). Besides, as a Territory Manager you are highly involved in training your peers and customers.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Visit assigned customers on a regular basis to promote products, relate new product information and receive feedback on the company’s products and services.
2. Responsible for creating long lasting relationships and realization of revenue growth with tender regions, DMU’s and affiliated orthodontic specialists.
3. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quota.
4. Visit potential customers to qualify them as sales prospects for the corporation.
5. Understand and support the corporation’s sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all the corporation’s customers.
6. Relate new product ideas and product extensions to marketing management for evaluation.
7. Follow corporate policies regarding customer entertainment and customer relations.
8. Review and report complaints received from customers and recommend corrective action to the Region Sales Manager.
9. Collect and report competitive information to Marketing Management.
10. Prepare periodic reports including weekly call reports, weekly expense reports, periodic general reports, and other reports as assigned.

Job Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor or higher in Business or Economics.

Critical Skills/technical know-how:

1. Has a strategic view on business development and is proactively involved in training its peers and its customers.
2. Demonstrated ability to relate well with people and work in an unstructured work environment.
3. Experience to operate in an international environment.
4. Fluent level of the English and Portuguese languages, additional language is an asset.
5. Previous experience within the medical devices, life sciences or pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
6. Excellent computer skills (in Excel and CRM).

Critical Experience:

1. At least 3 years sales and/or general business experience.
