Consider your next career step as a Financial Controller in our 5-star hotel in Madeira (Dreams Madeira Resort & Spa Marina).
Your main mission will be: to report to the General Manager, responsible for the hotel's financial management, supervising all financial activities including cash flow, bank reconciliations, and profitability analyses.
Your main functions will be:
* Preparation of financial reports: Ensuring accuracy in monthly and annual reports, complying with regulations.
* Budget and planning: Participating in budget creation, forecasts, and result monitoring.
* Cost control: Analyzing and managing operating costs to improve efficiency.
* Compliance and auditing: Ensuring adherence to tax and regulatory standards, supervising audits.
* Interdepartmental collaboration: Working with other departments for strategic financial support.
* Establishing internal controls to prevent fraud and mismanagement.
* Developing investment plans.
* Implementing and controlling financial policies.
* Analyzing contracts with suppliers and partners for compliance.
* Managing Procurement and Warehouse departments.
* Reporting to headquarters and owning company.
* Assisting the General Manager with strategic financial decisions.

Qualifications
What do we expect from you?
* Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
* At least 5 years' experience in financial control, preferably in luxury hospitality.
* Knowledge of accounting, financial control, and ERP tools.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and resilience under pressure.
* Fluent in English and Portuguese; other languages are a plus.
* Proactive with teamwork and strategic vision.
* Proven experience in strategic financial planning in hospitality.
* Ability to develop financial strategies and provide insights.
* Relational, resilient, adaptable, and a strong leader.
* High integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
* Flexibility to work extended hours during reporting periods or audits.
* Residency in Madeira, Portugal.
