What you'll do
You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with IFRS, and timely execution of month-end and year-end activities, particularly across areas such as Fixed Assets, CapEx, Provisions, MEC controls, Audit, and Tax Reporting:
Fixed Assets & CapEx Management
Perform end-to-end Fixed Asset Accounting: capitalization, disposals, depreciation runs and analysis
Process AUC (Assets Under Construction) validation and correction, including support for pre-production costs and serialized equipment
Coordinate asset verification exercises, asset creation and interaction with engineering and project owners
Support CapEx planning and forecasting with FP&A teams and update dashboards for ageing and inventory control
Audit, Reporting & MEC Controls
Coordinate quarterly and annual internal & external audit certification processes
Ensure timely execution of MEC activities: controls, journal validation, balance transfer, and analysis of incomplete asset lists
Perform reconciliation activities and support reporting accuracy for local and group purposes
Generate regulatory reports and analysis for external authorities and insurance stakeholders
Provide insights into network infrastructure, store assets, and investment properties for statutory and management reporting
Tax & Statutory Reporting
Assist in tax reporting cycles including CapEx declarations (Maps 32, 34), GL account analysis, tax depreciation and RFAI
Respond to tax authority requests and support with benefits-in-kind reporting for HR and payroll use
Collaborate on KPMG audit reviews and tax corrections as required
Provisioning & ARO
Calculate and analyze key provisions, and investment properties
Manage provision posting, consumption and reversal entries in coordination with GL and reporting teams
Who you are
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5 years of experience in finance operations, accounting or audit
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Fixed Asset lifecycle
Experience with SAP FI/AA, AUC processing, and MEC closing tools
Analytical skills and attention to detail in large-scale data environments
Ability to coordinate across global teams and interact with internal audit, tax and engineering stakeholders
Fluency in English (written and spoken); Portuguese is a plus
