Civil Engineer
to join their dynamic team on a major data centre project in Sines.
Role Overview:
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing all civil and structural engineering activities across the project lifecycle — from design coordination and planning to execution and handover. You will ensure that all civil works are delivered to the highest quality, safety, and environmental standards, in line with project schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all civil and structural works on-site, including foundations, drainage, utilities, and superstructures.
* Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure compliance with project specifications.
* Manage quality control processes and ensure all work meets international standards and local regulations.
* Monitor progress against schedule, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Liaise with project management, MEP, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth integration across disciplines.
* Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and reports.
* Support procurement and tendering processes for civil packages.
* Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably on large-scale industrial or data centre projects.
* Strong understanding of groundworks, reinforced concrete structures, and infrastructure works.
* Proven experience working with international contractors or engineering consultancies.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills in multidisciplinary environments.
* Fluent in English; Portuguese is advantageous but not essential.
* Eligibility to work in Portugal or the EU.
