The Global EOL Test Manager is responsible for providing both strategic and technological leadership in the areas of End-of-Line (EOL) testing and BorgWarner Production Control Systems (BWPCS).
This individual will develop advanced EOL test technologies, design comprehensive test solutions, and provide training and standards.
Will lead EOL Test Councils, promote best practices, share lessons learned, and foster a continuous learning environment among manufacturing engineers (MEs) in the plants.
Additionally, this position is responsible for establishing global Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards and supporting electronics manufacturing requirements for facilities.
The Global EOL Test Manager will also collaborate closely with product development teams to create test and flash specifications for electronic products.#LI-Hybrid KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide leadership, direction, development, and operational oversight to the EOL Test standards, and process acceptance methods to ensure equipments flawless launches.
Unify Manufacturing Test Strategies globally. Maintain EOL Test data collection and dashboard using BWPCS and provide expertise to improve the FTT and Scrap rate for the plant EOL Testers. Early engagement with R&D in developing Robust test specifications ensuring ease of launch. Develop procedures to support the CFT to create robust and cost-efficient solutions to the industrialization of new test equipment for eProducts. Drive down cost and investment and improve quality through standardization. Develop new manufacturing solutions to support cybersecurity for products and equipment. Mentor EOL Test Councils, provide facilitation resources to conduct EOL Test Councils, and ensure Best Practices are shared and implemented, Lessons Learned are understood by the plants and are mitigated. Be part of the Acquisition Standards Team to ensure the global equipment specifications are up to date, revise and approve the SOW's. Develop and maintain ME skill enhancement for ESD requirements and Electrical tests. Work with Plants in resolving chronic manufacturing and quality issues, related to Test equipment. Support problem-solving in the plants for issues related to electronic components and develop systems to support plants for any need for electrical sorting of products. Benchmark internally to BW and external to BW to develop the best Test practices and techniques. Lead a team of EOL Test technicians and BWPCS software developers to cultivate a culture of innovation while working in an agile environment. Define and maintain the team KPI's and publish the results periodically. Responsible for the training and coaching of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates and interpreting, and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies. Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations, namely the Code of Ethics, environmental, energy efficiency, health, and safety at work, quality, and productivity norms and standards. EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGEAND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Mecatronics Engineering, Master degree is preferred Minimum 8 years of experience in Automotive manufacturing engineering and/or EOL testing Project management skills and exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies Knowledge with multiple programming languages: Visual Studio (Visual Basic), C and C++, C# (C Sharp), Python Etc. Knowledge in Microcontroller programming and flashing. Knowledge of computer network architectures. Knowledge of Automotive Protocols: SAE SENT J2716, SAE CAN J1939, SAE LIN J2602 Knowledge of Industrial Protocols: RS232, RS485, GPIB, TCP/IP Knowledge of Test equipment: Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Data loggers, Programmable power supplies, HiPot, DAQ, Flir Thermal cameras and communication cards.
Hands-on skills troubleshooting low and high voltage Electrical cabinets and reviewing Electrical drawings. Working Knowledge of Minitab is valued.
