Tasks
A Production Engineer ensures airworthiness, optimizes quality and costs, develops alternative repairs, and implements OEM documentation for aircraft components/engine parts. They independently seek for Turn around time, costs, and quality for customers.
- Responsibility for managing maintenance and repair services of specific aircraft components / engine parts from the engineering side across sites; preparing and approving maintenance documents; defining repairs and tests; evaluating modifications technically and economically, carrying out and implementing calculations
- Coordination and communication of technical issues among production, support areas, customers, and management globally
- Identify optimization potentials in the maintenance process; Develop concepts for alternatives; Evaluate solution concepts technically and economically; Develop and implement measures
- Tracking and investigating faults, complaints (technical) and limit exceedances and initiating remedial measures across sites
- Processing/managing projects. Performing special tasks
Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated Production Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and improve efficiency. The role involves collaborating with various departments to enhance production methods, troubleshoot issues, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (aeronautical, mechanical, electrical)
- Very good computer skills (e.g. MS-Office, SAP)
- Very good written and spoken Portuguese and English skills
- Ability to work in a team, flexibility, communication skills
- Distinct analytical and conceptual thinking, ability to manage complexity
- Willingness for business travel and for longer assignments in Germany or other Lufthansa Technik sites
- Knowledge of aeronautical legislation is desirable
- Knowledge of engine/component maintenance is desirable
