Electrical Package Manager

Overview
A leading European data centre construction specialist delivering turnkey mission-critical facilities across multiple countries is seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join a major data centre project in Helsinki.
The organisation delivers large-scale data centre developments across Europe, providing services from design through construction and commissioning across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
With several live projects currently under construction across multiple European locations, the company continues to expand and is looking to strengthen its project delivery team.
Role Overview
The Electrical Package Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of the electrical package on a large-scale data centre project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the electrical systems package on a large data centre project.
* Oversee site health, safety and environmental compliance in collaboration with the Project Manager and safety team, including management of project safety documentation.
* Promote and maintain a strong Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture across the project team.
* Coordinate and manage the project programme in line with client and consultant requirements.
* Manage all commercial aspects associated with the electrical package including:
* Direct electrical delivery teams
* Subcontractors
* Materials procurement and deliveries
* Plant and equipment
* Variations and valuations
* Manage daily site operations for the electrical package.
* Ensure company policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.
* Oversee subcontractor performance, monitoring progress against programme and manpower levels.
* Manage the project snagging and quality tracking system, ensuring issues are recorded, distributed and closed out.
* Coordinate labour reporting for direct workforce and subcontractors .
* Attend and contribute to site meetings, engineering reviews, planning meetings and project handover sessions .
* Produce weekly cost and progress reports, including:
* Orders placed
* Materials expected
* Labour resources
* Progress against work breakdown structure
* Risk items impacting delivery
* Produce client-facing progress updates highlighting delays, design constraints or third-party issues.
* Coordinate material deliveries to align with the project programme and track deliveries.
* Maintain a project photographic progress record .
* Undertake other duties associated with the successful delivery of the electrical package.
Requirements
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline .
* Previous experience in project or package management within large construction projects.
* Proven track record delivering large-scale electrical installations .
* Experience managing industrial relations and subcontractor coordination .
* Strong knowledge of health and safety practices within construction environments .
* Experience working on design & build projects .
* Solid technical understanding of electrical systems, with appreciation of mechanical interfaces.
* Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
