Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to support the construction of a 50MWp Solar PV Plant in Portugal. The role involves overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) compliance across all civil, electrical, and mechanical activities, ensuring alignment with Portuguese legislation and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
HS&E Coordination:
* Assist the Owner in preparing, updating, and submitting the prior notice.
* Advise the Owner on their legal responsibilities under applicable Portuguese legislation.
HS&E Plan Oversight:
* Review and monitor the EPC contractor's HS&E plan development and implementation.
* Ensure alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards.
Safety Inspections:
* Conduct regular safety inspections in conjunction with general site inspections.
* Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
Environmental Compliance:
* Verify adherence to Environmental Incidences Statement (EIncA) measures, including the landscape integration plan.
* Participate in environmental audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in HS&E coordination within large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of Portuguese health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills.
* Must be eligible to work in Portugal and pass background checks.
Additional Information:
* Travel, accommodation, and other expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Portuguese law, subject to pre-approval.
* This is a site-based role requiring regular presence at project locations in Trancoso and Sernancelhe.
