Management of HR Activities:Lead and oversee all HR activities across the resort, ensuring alignment with business objectives, company standards, and Operations priorities; implement and continuously improve efficiencies in all HR processes and procedures across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, employee services, payroll, learning & development and offboarding; oversee the recruitment progress and hiring process; ensure accurate and timely payroll administration; maintain full compliance with Portuguese labor legislation; partner with Legal and leadership team; promote a positive employee experience and foster a culture aligned with the company's values.Union Relations and Employee Relations:Act as the primary HR representative for all national and local union interactions and negotiations; build and maintain constructive relationships with union representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration; ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and all applicable labor regulations; provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.Team Leadership and Talent Development:Build, lead, and develop a high‐performing resort HR team; mentor and coach HR team members, fostering a collaborative, respectful and performance‐driven culture; oversee talent mapping, succession planning, and monitoring of development plans; drive initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, learning, and career development.Strategic Business Partnership:Act as a strategic business partner to Human Resources Senior Leadership, the General Manager, and resort leadership teams, ensuring HR strategies effectively support operational objectives and business growth; support departmental leaders with workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and people management practices; promote strong cross‐functional collaboration and effective communication across departments.Project Management, Process Optimization and Technology:Lead and oversee the successful implementation of HR projects, initiatives, and company policies at resort level; monitor HR performance and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and employee experience; establish and maintain clear HR procedures; ensure the effective implementation and utilization of HR systems, tools, and digital platforms; implement all corporate digital HR initiatives and process automation to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and user‐friendly experience.Reporting, Analytics and Hospitality Workforce Planning:Monitor and deep dive into HR metrics and trends, including recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, retention, employee engagement, and productivity; utilize HR data and analytics to support informed and data‐driven decision‐making; prepare and present regular HR reports; lead workforce planning and staffing strategies to support the operational demands of a luxury all‐inclusive seasonal resort environment; address hospitality‐specific HR challenges; implement HR best practices that enhance employee satisfaction, operational excellence, and the resort's positioning as an employer of choice in the local market.Qualifications
Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant postgraduate qualification will be considered an asset; Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury resort or hotel environment.HR Operations Expertise:Proven experience managing the full spectrum of HR operations within hotels or seasonal resorts, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll oversight, talent development, and workforce planning.Labor Law and Union Relations:Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor legislation, employment practices, and compliance requirements; Demonstrated experience working with labor unions, including collective bargaining agreements and union negotiations.Leadership and Team Management:Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high‐performing HR teams within fast‐paced and operationally demanding environments.Strategic and Interpersonal Skills:Strong strategic thinking and problem‐solving capabilities, combined with a hands‐on and proactive approach to execution; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.Analytical, Organizational and Technical Skills:Strong analytical skills with a data‐driven mindset and the ability to translate HR metrics into actionable business insights; Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and perform successfully under tight deadlines and within a dynamic pre‐opening and operational environment; Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR Management systems; Fluency in English is essential; Proficiency in Spanish will be considered an advantage.What We Offer
