HR Manager Job Description
The role of the HR Manager is to oversee all human resources operations, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of both permanent and seasonal staff.
They will manage our HR software, overseeing schedules, vacation planning, extra hours, and overall workforce planning. The HR Manager will work closely with our external accounting company on payroll and employment contracts in compliance with Portuguese labor laws.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement training programs and onboarding processes to set new hires up for success.
* Support career development opportunities and foster a positive, engaging workplace culture.
* Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Handle employee relations including conflict resolution, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
* Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to streamline operations.
* Conduct regular reviews of HR practices to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an HR Manager in hospitality industry or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor laws.
* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Strong written and verbal English and Portuguese.
