AD Energy is working in partnership with an International Innovator of high-quality solar power electronics, in search for a Portugal Sales Manager. This is a newly created position that will play a fundamental role in the organisation’s strategic growth plans in Southern Europe.
Our client is a pioneer in solar pv optimisation technology and supplies their premium products to the residential, commercial and utilities solar market across the globe! This position will offer a dynamic and enthusiastic sales professional an exciting challenge to control and manage all sales and business development activities for the market area concerned and make a real progressive impact on the existing European Commercial Operation.
To be considered for this position you must demonstrate direct sales experience of solar pv products within the Portuguese market. You must also have a good knowledge of and familiar working with local wholesale and installer partners. You will also reside in Portugal with the language ability.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Full commercial sales and business development responsibility in the region concerned
- Undertake market research for strategy refinement and business planning
- Prepare annual plans, monthly sales and P/L sales reports
- Effectively implement and execute commercial market strategy
- Utilise and pursue business relations with Distributors, Installers, EPC and Systems Integrators
- Keep abreast of influencing market drivers, competitive market factors that might potentially effect company market share
- Successfully and actively work on increasing market share
- Pursue a proactive market approach for new client acquisition
- Coordinate internal and external support for sales, business development, and marketing
- Be an advocate for the brand and company, be fully immersed with the product portfolio
- Participate in industry exhibitions, tradeshows, conference and relevant meeting as leading company representative
Key Requirements:
- Degree-educated within Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or relevant discipline
- A minimum of 3 years’ local technical sales experience within the Solar PV Industry
- Posses proven sales management experience with a track record of increasing marke share
- In depth and extensive pv market knowledge and technical product ability
- Direct experience and knowledge with solar or pv inverters would be an advantage
- Established pv connection network with distributors, installers, epc, engineering partners
- Strong business acumen, negotiation and communication skills
- Strategic and flexible nature, able to adapt accordingly
- Ability to prioritize high priority demands and workloads, work effectively in intense environment
- Detail-orientated, a good problem solver
- Fluent English and Portuguese speaker
