The Microbiology Analyst is responsible for ensuring all kinds of analysis at the Microbiology lab. The Microbiology Analyst will be responsible for management of Quality Control documents, records, and consumables in accordance with site policies and procedures.
Can support the IPC team and other tasks required by the Quality Control Manager or Supervisor.
Responsibilities / Role and Responsibilities
* Ensuring all kinds of analysis at the QC Microbiology lab.
* Ensure the cleaning and sanitization of the microbiology laboratory and equipment according to the approved SOPs.
* Manage supplies and consumables inventory in the Quality Control lab (including ERP management);
* Management of Retention Room;
* Manage calibration and qualification schedule and records for Quality Control Equipment;
* If required, can support the IPC team (e.g., sampling, inspection and release of Incoming materials, or other associated tasks) according to internal guidelines;
* Participate in internal audits and support the Quality Control Supervisor in preparation for Health Authority Inspections;
* Assist in managing samples workflow with third-party laboratories;
* Support deviations, incidents and out of specifications/trends investigations;
* Support new projects;
* Receive, communicate, and archive test results from third-party laboratories;
* Ensuring the proper disposal of all hazardous, biological and chemical waste;
* Propose corrective actions and suggestions for improvement;
* Perform other duties as assigned;
* Actively participate in the drafting and review of SOPs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* Experience working in a relevant regulated industry e.g., drug, food, cannabis, cosmetics in a lab environment (preference)
* Knowledge of SOPs, GLPs, HACCP and GMPs applicable to quality, compliance, and production
* Excellent organization skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
