DNAtech is the first Portuguese laboratory for veterinary clinical analysis and currently has more than 1700 clients across the country.
Portugal (Lisbon or another logistics hub / partial remote work possible)
Responsibilities
As part of the development of our activities in Portugal, you will join the IT team in charge of critical applications for one of our clients.
* Analyze business needs in collaboration with local and international teams.
* Design, develop, and maintain RPG/COBOL/CL programs on IBM AS400 related to transport (TMS) and logistics (WMS) operations.
* Ensure the integration of EDI/EDIFACT flows with clients and partners (shippers, freight forwarders, logistics providers).
* Optimize and secure application processing (performance, security, availability).
* Participate in application modernization projects: AS400 integration with the Cloud, APIs, webservices, ERP integration.
* Deploy reporting and performance monitoring tools (logistics KPIs, transport SLAs).
* Provide expert support to Portuguese and European users.
* Document and share best practices with IT teams.
Qualifications
Education
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience
* Minimum 10 years of experience in IBM AS400 (IBM iSeries) development.
* Proven experience in Transport & Logistics environments (TMS, WMS, Supply Chain).
Technical skills
* Languages: RPG III, RPG IV, RPG ILE, Free RPG, COBOL/400, CL, SQL/400.
* Transport & Logistics:
o TMS: planning, scheduling, transport tracking, transport invoicing.
o WMS: inventory management, receiving, picking, shipping, traceability.
* EDI/EDIFACT: order integration, shipment notifications, electronic invoicing.
* Tools: SDA, RLU, SQL/400, debugging/performance tools, BRMS.
* Knowledge of critical environments (high availability, security, audits).
Cross-functional skills
* Ability to work in an international environment (professional English AND French required).
* Rigor, autonomy, and results-oriented mindset.
* Strong interpersonal skills to interact with transport/logistics business teams.
* Knowledge sharing mindset and ability to support junior teams.
