Responsibilities
• Design and implement robust and scalable Java backend solutions
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle (requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment)
• Collaborate in an Agile environment and take ownership of technical aspects of development
• Mentor junior developers and influence engineering practices within the team
• Work with cross-functional teams to agree on technical designs
Qualifications
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java backend development
* Experience leading complex initiatives and collaborating with other teams to agree technical designs
* Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers, influencing and improving engineering practices
* Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
* Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD)
* Proficiency in Git and CI/CD
* Experience with Spring Boot and other relevant backend frameworks
* Experience working in an Agile development environment
* Experience with Terraform
* Knowledge of Kafka
* Experience with Kubernetes
* Experience with GraphQL Federation
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
