About Our Client
Our client is a large organization in the professional services industry, offering a wide range of services to various businesses. Their accounting and finance department in Lisboa is known for its excellence in service and its commitment to continuous improvement.
Job Description
- Generate basic financial reports to support the accounting team in tracking performance and quality.
- Provide administrative support to senior accountants, including document management.
- Assist in compiling data for internal stakeholders.
- Perform accounts payable reconciliations and manage accruals.
- Conduct purchase-to-pay analysis and review travel and expense reports.
- Support local teams and assist with ad hoc tasks as needed.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect current processes.
- Document process changes based on feedback from senior accountants.
- Participate in training and mentorship programs to develop accounting expertise.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or relevant coursework in accounting.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience or internship in accounting.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and fluency in English.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Navision, PHC, or Cegid/Primavera is a plus but not mandatory.
