Job Overview
The role of a Data Engineer is to oversee the collection, processing, and storage of data. This involves working closely with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of processes and flows.
This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities include:
* Identifying and resolving issues in production, such as delays or disruptions in processes or flows;
* Collaborating with IT OPS teams and subsidiaries to manage production incidents throughout their entire lifecycle;
* Providing regular updates to corporate entities on the status of incidents;
* Supporting the resolution of data-related issues;
* Creating reports on significant events and incidents, as well as suggesting enhancements for monitoring dashboards;
* Responding to requests for infrastructure (networks, databases, storage, etc.)
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates must have a strong background in Computer Science or a related field, with at least one year of experience in Dremio. Proficiency in Shell programming in SQL on Dremio Unix, tools for monitoring (Grafana, ELK, Kibana, Dynatrace), ITIL and incident management (ServiceNow, Jira), CI/CD (Jenkins, DBT, GitLab) and orchestration (Airflow, Reflections, Autosys) is also required. Fluency in English (C1 level) and being based in Portugal (citizenship or Work Visa) are mandatory.
