Role Purpose
This is a rare opportunity to build a learning and talent function from the ground up. You will lead the development of a unified European learning and development strategy that empowers leaders, enhances core capabilities, and fosters talent development across countries. Reporting directly to the CHRO, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and HR teams across Europe to create scalable, relevant, and impactful solutions in leadership, performance, talent, onboarding, and compliance learning.
This role is both strategic and operational. You’ll need to shape the roadmap, deliver hands-on initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to embed sustainable learning and talent practices across a highly diverse and fast-paced business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the European Learning & Talent Development strategy aligned with business needs and people priorities.
* Build a roadmap to consolidate, coordinate, and scale learning initiatives across markets while respecting local differences.
* Introduce and evolve a consistent leadership development offering across BCA Europe, addressing all levels of the pipeline.
* Define and embed leadership behaviors and development frameworks aligned with BCA’s values and culture.
* Introduce and champion onboarding, early careers, and performance development approaches.
* Partner with CHRO, Business Leaders, and local HR leads to understand development needs and deliver targeted solutions.
Talent & Performance
* Design and implement talent identification and succession frameworks.
* Develop and embed a consistent performance management approach focused on feedback, development, and accountability.
* Lead and support talent reviews, succession planning, and career mobility initiatives across countries.
Delivery & Enablement
* Personally design, deliver, and facilitate learning sessions and workshops as needed.
* Work with internal and external partners to source and implement quality learning content.
* Support the development of digital learning capabilities across BCA Europe.
* Develop scalable toolkits and resources for managers and employees, including team effectiveness and coaching support.
Governance & Operations
* Establish governance, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms for L&D initiatives.
* Manage the learning and talent budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
* Build vendor relationships and oversee procurement processes for learning solutions.
* Track performance data, feedback, and ROI metrics to continuously improve offerings.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience designing and implementing L&D and talent frameworks in a country or matrix organization.
* Hands-on experience designing and delivering learning solutions, especially in leadership, talent, and performance.
* Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders and functional teams.
* Skilled in using digital learning tools, platforms, and psychometrics (e.g., Insights, Hogan, etc.).
* Ability to work autonomously and deliver at pace in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills across cultures, geographies, and seniority levels.
* High energy, proactive mindset, and readiness to build from scratch.
* Desirable experience in a European or global HR/L&D role.
* Experience working in a complex, fast-paced commercial organization.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
