Since the start in 2012 CorPower has raised more than 115mEUR to bring our technology to market, supporting a growing commercial project pipeline.Role We are now looking for an ambitious Electrical Engineer with prior experience in Medium Voltage equipment to take an important role in the construction, testing and deployment of our full‐scale wave energy converter. This role is based in our Portuguese entity in Viana do Castelo where you will support all related electrical works onshore and offshore.ResponsibilitiesTogether with our Senior MV Electrical engineer you will install, inspect, repair, replace, maintain, and make necessary test on all low to medium voltage wave energy converter (WEC & Hub) systems, equipment, transformers, switchgear, generators, and distribution systems.Contribute to develop submarine cabling and WEC installation work packages to define scopes of work and to support the project scheduling.Ensure that all assets, of the electrical offshore deployment plan, are installed to the quality and engineering standards.Support the refurbishment and the operation of onshore project related existing assets, as well as all related power supply systems of the research centre manufacturing hall.Generate effective and accurate written documents, reports, and technical drawings.Interface with internal and external customers regarding the low and medium onshore and offshore electrical systems.Work where necessary, with other functions, to assist in achieving overall project objectives.Skills And QualificationsMinimum of 5 years relevant working experience on medium voltage equipment; switchgear, transformers, and generators.Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is meritingMedium voltage experience, both academic and industrial, in new product development.Knowledge specific and applicable Portuguese standards related to electrical engineering, grid connection and overall electrical compliance.Hands‐on experience in wire assembly and cable repair, having some mechanical machine assembly experience is meriting.MV splicing, termination and cable repair experience with MV protection equipment and control devices is meritingAbility to climb ladders, work in tight spaces and to perform tasks that require standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing hand over hand.Prepared and willing to work in challenging marine outdoor environments.Besides your formal training and degree, your personality, experience, and interest in the field, having passion for technology and machines in general is also important.Proficient in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written (colloquial and technical).As a PersonYou are striving for excellence and put quality into everything you doYou love to learn new things and take pride in constantly developing your skillsYou always searching for the most simple and elegant solutions to difficult problemsYou are persistent, knowing it takes stamina to reach ambitious goalsYou are data driven and strive to always back your points with a solid analysis you are outspoken and like to interact with colleagues, partners and suppliersBenefits Include5 extra days of vacation.Meal card for the maximum non-taxable amount.Company cell phoneand laptop.CorPower Ocean has a highly diversified team with many nationalities and backgrounds, all working towards the same goal of Powering the Planet by ocean waves.#J-18808-Ljbffr
