Job Description:
As an IT Infrastructure Specialist for Manufacturing Systems, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IT infrastructure that supports our manufacturing processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of technology systems that drive production. This position requires a hands-on approach to infrastructure management, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with various departments to align IT capabilities with manufacturing objectives. Your work will directly impact the performance of our manufacturing systems by minimizing downtime, improving system efficiency, and supporting advanced manufacturing technologies. Additionally, you will stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies to propose and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
Your contribution to something big:
* Design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure supporting manufacturing systems, including servers, networks, and storage;
* Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software used in manufacturing operations;
* Ensure uptime and performance of critical manufacturing systems, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems);
* Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to align IT solutions with operational goals;
* Implement cybersecurity protocols and best practices to protect manufacturing data and systems;
* Manage system backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity processes;
* Provide technical support and training to manufacturing staff on IT systems and applications;
* Coordinate IT projects between internal partners;
* Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reliability;
* Analyze system performance metrics and propose improvements to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
* Education: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Experience: 3+ years in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a manufacturing environment; experience with database administration; experience conducting IT risk assessments and creating emergency response concepts for equipment.
* Knowledge: Strong knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and PLCs; proficiency in LAN/WAN networking, Windows/Linux servers, and virtualization; familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure system implementation; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
* Languages: Fluent English, both written and spoken (C1 level).
* Personality: Excellent communication and collaboration skills; open-minded and comfortable working in intercultural environments.
