Remote Anywhere in Europe
Compensation: Approx. €2,600/month (Contractor Model)
Industry: Telecommunications, Critical Platforms, Emergency Alerts
Role Focus: 80% Strategic Marketing / 20% Business Development Support
About the Company: We are hiring for a Telecom company with over 16 years of experience in developing telecommunications solutions, emergency alert platforms, anti-spam systems, and 911 infrastructure. The primary clients include global telecom operators and government institutions, with a strong focus on B2B operations and long sales cycles (12–24 months).
About the Role
We are seeking a senior, "hands-on" Marketing professional capable of building and leading the Marketing function from the ground up for an established telecom tech company. This is not a sales role. We are looking for a strategist who understands how to position high-ticket technical solutions with long sales cycles (12–24 months) so that the commercial team can successfully close deals with global operators and government institutions.
- Languages: Advanced English (fluent in spoken and written communication); Spanish (conversational);
- Availability: Full-time freelance/contractor
- Experience Required: 5+ years in B2B tech/telecom marketing
Key Responsibilities
- Department Architecture: Design and execute the marketing framework, from high-level strategy to selecting tools and managing external contributors (designers, copywriters).
- Branding & Thought Leadership: Ensure the brand "looks the part" of a market leader. This includes maintaining an active, cutting-edge presence on LinkedIn and the corporate website with regular, relevant updates.
- Marketing Strategy: Define and execute strategies to reach a highly targeted group of ~1,000 decision-makers (operators, ministries, business partners). Use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other prospecting tools to identify relevant stakeholders.
- Sales Enablement: Create high-value support materials (case studies, RFP presentations, technical whitepapers, and videos) that simplify complex concepts and empower the sales team.
- Events & PR: Identify and coordinate participation in global industry fairs and networking opportunities (occasional travel if needed).
- Develop strategic partnerships and nurture relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Content Strategy: Translate complex technical jargon (SMSC, USSD, 911 infrastructure, LBS) into clear, business-driven value propositions for decision-makers (Ministries, CEOs, CTOs).
- Manage and update content on WordPress (technical blog posts, announcements, landing pages).
- Continuous Research: Monitor competitors, industry best practices, and new technologies in telecommunications and emergency alerts, and propose creative ideas for proactive outreach beyond event participation.
Requirements & Profile
- Experience: 5+ years leading marketing efforts within the Technology or Telecommunications sectors. Strictly B2B experience is required.
- Digital Presence: A candidate who is "digitally active." You must understand that in marketing, you must practice what you preach; an up-to-date and professional digital footprint is essential.
- Tools: Good knowledge of WordPress (content management) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Languages: Full Professional fluency in English; Conversational to Advanced Spanish.
- Marketing-First Mindset: You are passionate about branding, strategy, and "the top of the funnel," rather than being driven by sales commissions.
- Autonomy: Capacity to take full ownership of the marketing roadmap for 2026 without constant supervision.
- Working Model: Must be comfortable and experienced with the Freelance/Contractor model (managing own taxes/social security).
