Your Mission
After completing the 12 months rotation, you'll become part of our Industrial Engineering team, based in Santa Maria Da Feira (Portugal).
As an Industrial Engineer, you'll be responsible for industrializing new products while supporting the local production center on various topics such as product evolution, issue resolutions, economics, or safety.
Our global company has teams worldwide, and you'll work closely with other Industrial Engineering Teams in Italy, India, France, and China.
Key Responsibilities
* Design equipment to integrate industrial design and assembly constraints using Design to Cost and Design for Manufacturing approaches.
* Participate in controlling equipment costs with purchasing departments.
* Arbitrate the choice of supply method for machine components according to manufacturing processes.
* Supervise prototype assembly process to solve manufacturing and assembly problems as soon as possible.
* Define pre-series and serial manufacturing processes during project development toll gates.
* Develop required mechanical tools for easy equipment assembly and ensure employee safety.
* Technical & costing configurators development.
* Provide necessary technical documentation for machine assembly.
* Optimize assembly processes to reduce manufacturing lead time.
* Collaborate to reduce customer and internal non-conformities.
* Participate in developing strategic suppliers.
* Contribute to critical component development requiring in-depth technical expertise.
Requirements
English
Masters degree in Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics fields preferred.
Less than 2 years of professional experience after graduation.
SolidWorks, Eplan, SAP, and Continuous Improvement tools appreciated.
