The role of Sourcing & Procurement Specialist-Senior is crucial in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies across various categories, including Contract Transportation - Road Linehaul. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with business partners to drive growth and reduce costs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a fast-learning professional who can take initiative and forge strong relationships with stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance, and risk management.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, align complex business requirements, and execute multi-country tenders through e-sourcing platforms. Your ability to analyze trends, interpret data, and manage contracts will be essential in driving business growth.
This role requires a high degree of autonomy, and you will be expected to work independently, lead projects, and report on strategic sourcing programs. You must have excellent stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills, robust change management skills, and the ability to work effectively in an international team environment.
We are looking for a professional with relevant work experience in international procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management. You should have advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Fluency in English is a must, and knowledge of another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities
* Category management, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance, and risk management
* Lead the execution of sourcing strategies for identified categories at international and/or regional level to reduce the cost to serve
* Analyze trends in and outside the company with robust screening of supply markets and continuous market intelligence for identifying innovative opportunities
* Perform procurement reporting and data analysis to propose and execute cost/service improvement opportunities
* Manage relationship and proactively work with relevant stakeholders to identify and prioritize sourcing needs to support on the development of annual strategies and plans to achieve category goals
* Understand business requirements across categories and define the sourcing strategy to ensure delivery of services in line with expectations
* Lead the sourcing (RFx) process, including e-sourcing events, from start to finish for complex international projects, which includes setting up the bidding process, negotiating contracts, and liaising with legal counterparts to drive a contract to execution
Experience & Abilities Required
* Relevant work experience in international procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management in an international environment, preferably within a multinational company
* The ability to work independently, lead, and report on a strategic sourcing program in an international environment
* Ability to analyze and interpret spend and cost data, research market trends, and manage supporting contract development activities
* Strong stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills
* Robust change management skills
* Ability to run multiple sourcing projects at the same time
* Ability to work effectively in an international team environment and in a complex matrix organization
* Contract Management and strong negotiation skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Advanced level Microsoft office proficiency including expertise in MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
* Ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver own work, sometimes work on short deadlines
* Fluent English language skills (written and verbal). Fluency in another European language is a plus
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of contractual terms & conditions for contracts
* Awareness of strategic supplier management
* User-friendliness with tools, systems, web-based platforms
* European nationality or Dutch work permit
