The Opportunity
Access Healthcare is looking for a detail-oriented
Credit Controller
to strengthen our Finance team in Porto. You'll play a key role in keeping cash flow steady and financial reporting accurate, ensuring our international operations run smoothly. This is also a chance to recommend and implement process improvements that make a real difference.
What You'll Do
Collections & Client Relations
Manage and monitor invoices to reduce overdue payments.
Contact corporate clients by phone and email to secure timely payment.
Negotiate payment plans when necessary and escalate issues as appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and client communications.
Spot opportunities to enhance processes and systems and help put those changes in place.
Accounts Receivable Operations
Process incoming payments promptly and accurately.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare statements, aging reports, and assist with month-end close.
Respond to client queries on invoices, payments, or balances.
Report key Accounts Receivable metrics to the leadership team.
What We're Looking For
1–2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, or a similar finance role.
Secondary education required; an accounting or finance qualification is a plus.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) preferred.
Strong Excel skills; familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
