Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Join Appning! Appning is a single entry point to 23 different car brands' experiences. It connects OEMs and app developers to help build the future of connected cars. Alongside OEMs, we create a personalized experience that meets clients’ demands and expectations, ensuring home-to-car continuity and an ongoing link with the outside world through our scalable and adaptable solution.
We are looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer willing to take on one of the greatest challenges in the automotive industry!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement end-to-end features across the stack, including frontend components using React/Next.js and backend services using JavaScript/TypeScript and Go.
2. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications with a focus on scalability and performance.
3. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver features efficiently.
4. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
5. Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in version control, CI/CD, and secure development.
6. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance on both frontend and backend.
7. Contribute to application deployment and infrastructure setup in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
8. Stay current with modern web technologies and proactively suggest improvements to tools and workflows.
9. Support or contribute to Android mobile development (nice to have).
10. Ensure daily adherence to the Forvia Code of Ethics, including respect for human rights, ethical business conduct, and reporting potential infringements.
11. Perform other relevant tasks based on qualifications and team needs.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Qualifications:
1. Approximately 3 years of full-stack development experience in a product-driven or agile environment.
2. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript across the stack.
3. Experience with frontend development using React and/or Next.js.
4. Backend development experience, particularly with REST APIs and services built in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Go.
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and deployment best practices.
6. Understanding of source control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
7. Nice to have: experience with Android development (Java/Kotlin).
8. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
