Under the guidance of the scientific coordinator, the grant holder should: Propose visualisation solutions based on identified personas and tasks. Create low-fidelity prototypes of visualisations. Validate these with users and incorporate improvements. Develop functional prototypes of the visualisations and their integration into a dashboard for decision support. Develop a user testing protocol (depending on the identified personas and tasks). Conduct user testing, and collect and process the results. Analyse and discuss the results. Collaborate on drafting the documentation and the fellowship activity report. Throughout the fellowship, depending on the results, there may be opportunities to present these at conferences in the fields of HCI, visualisation and intelligent transport systems. Academic QualificationsDegree student or Master's student in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering. The award of the scholarship is conditional upon applicants enrolling on a degree programme or non-degree courses at higher education institutions. Preference factorsExcellent academic performance in subjects such as: Computer Graphics, Software Engineering, Programming and Artificial Intelligence. Final undergraduate grade of 16 or higher. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in Information Visualization, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) and assessment methodologies. Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills. Maintenance stipend:€ 701.12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants, paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend. INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders.
