This role blends hands-on fieldwork, farmer support, project coordination, and agronomic analysis.
You will directly manage one or more projects while contributing to others within our growing portfolio.The position involves regular farm visits and close collaboration with our clients - large-scale farmers, supply chain actors, and agricultural funds - to design, implement, and monitor the adoption of innovative practices on the ground.We are looking for a practical, proactive agronomist with strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a genuine interest in systems change within agriculture.

Experience LevelMinimum: 2–3 years of experience in agronomy or farm management, with direct involvement in real-world farming operationsIdeal: 4–5 years of experience, including hands-on roles in operational farm work or managing production systemsMust be operationally fluent in farm contexts — equipment, seasonality, logistics, farmer realities2.
Educational BackgroundMinimum: BSc in Agronomy or Agricultural EngineeringIdeal: MSc in Agronomy, with specialisation in soil health, crop nutrition, conservation agriculture, or soil microbiologyBonus: Completion of relevant academic or non-academic training (short courses, certificates, field programs) on soil health, regenerative agriculture, conservation agriculture, "produção integrada" or sustainable farming practices.

Technical CompetenciesSolid understanding of agronomic diagnostics and analytical interpretation: soil analyses, tissue/sap analyses, plant observationsStrong applied knowledge of plant physiology, crop nutrition, pest and disease management, precision agriculture tools, soil management (including tillage, amendments, and microbiological strategies)Hands-on experience operating or adjusting agricultural machinery (e.g., tillage, seeding, spraying)A solid understanding of soil health, preferably supported by hands-on experience in implementing relevant practices.Experience participating in agronomic or scientific trials, including monitoring, implementation, and protocol compliancePractical project management experience, including planning, coordination, execution, and tracking of multi-step agronomic or field-based projectsProven ability to manage data collection, documentation, analysis, and reporting with high levels of rigour, organisation, and clarity — this is a critical requirement for success in the role.4.
