Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst & Automation Intern
to enhance our internal analytical tools and operational processes. Your primary role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining interactive data dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) that enable quick and informed decision-making. Additionally, you'll automate routine tasks, ensure data pipeline reliability, and maintain thorough technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Dashboard & Visualization Development:
Build and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent BI tools
Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for traders and stakeholders
Data Engineering & Analysis:
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SQL databases and other sources
Perform ad-hoc data analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and reconciliation processes
Process Automation:
Automate repetitive reporting and operational tasks using Python, Bash, or workflow automation tools
Develop and maintain scripts or small applications to streamline data processing
System Monitoring & Reliability:
Monitor data pipelines and automated workflows to detect issues proactively
Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, performance, or connectivity issues
Technical Documentation:
Create and maintain clear, structured documentation for data models, dashboards, and automation scripts
Facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding through step-by-step guides
Preferred Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database management
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation
Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
Version control experience (Git)
Interest in financial markets and trading systems
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a small, dynamic team
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Work Arrangement:
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule—4 hours in-office during the morning and 4 hours remotely.
Selection Process:
Selected candidates will participate in a multi-stage interview process, including:
Preliminary online interview (approximately 30 to 60 minutes)
On-site interview (2 to 3 hours)
Potential final interview with the CEO
Participation in IEFP's +Talento internship program (registration required upon selection if not already enrolled)
