Moreover, the HyLab will foster innovation, addressing the relevant supply chain components to enable a hydrogen-driven economy and to promote skilled and value-added job creation.It targets a gap between the academia and industrial ecosystems in the implementation of green hydrogen to boost the energy transition and to tackle the energy transition challenges, throughthe entire hydrogen value chain.The HyLab involves valuable national and international R&D institutes, academia, industry companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, and hydrogen-related technology manufacturing industries.We are looking for a Researcher Chemical Processes who will report to the Lead Research on Separation Processes and will have the mission to Develop applied research and innovation activities in Chemical Process Engineering, namely on hydrogen purification and on the synthesis of hydrogen carriers.You will be challenged with:Designing and validating separation/purification processes for hydrogen purification and transformative processes for hydrogen carrier production.Collaborating on R&D projects, particularly those aligned with the Mobilizing Agendas of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, focusing on Chemical Process Engineering.Cooperating with project partners to ensure technical deliverables and the preparation of related project reports.Providing specialized services to industry customers and partners.Engaging in activities to disseminate scientific knowledge through writing scientific articles, conference papers, and communications.Who are we looking for:Master's degree in chemical engineering or a related field.Experience in designing chemical processes for purifying gaseous streams (e.g., pressure swing adsorption) and/or converting hydrogen into liquid carriers (e.g., ammonia).Experimental background in separation/reaction processes.Proficiency in chemical process simulation software (e.g., gPROMS, Aspen).Strong programming skills in Python and MATLAB are advantageous.Proficiency level in English C1.Why join us:You will be challenged with unusual problems and will have the opportunity to uncover solutions with a high environmental impact.You will be working in an innovation environment, together with some of the most knowledgeable researchers in Europe.You will have a career as a Researcher in one of the most promising technologies in the energy industry.You will have the opportunity to definitively move to Sines, Portugal, or to work there at least for 3 days per week on the brand new HyLab headquarters.Your talent will be rewarded with a competitive salary package.
