SUPPLY CHAIN LEAD

You will be part of the Iberia Supply Chain organization, working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and external logistics partners.
The team plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and supporting business growth across Portugal and the broader Iberia region.
This role in summary
The Supply Chain Manager Portugal leads end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and resilient processes across procurement, planning, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
The role combines strategic oversight (approximately 40% tactical) with strong operational execution (fully hands-on), ensuring service excellence, business continuity, and alignment with growth and profitability objectives.
Your responsibilities will include
Develop and execute the local supply chain strategy aligned with Iberia and global business objectives.
Lead demand forecasting, production planning, and capacity management to ensure service level excellence.
Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, customs, and distribution activities.
Optimize inventory levels and turnover while maintaining target service levels and minimizing working capital.
Establish and negotiate contracts with logistics providers and key suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and performance.
Monitor and improve supplier and logistics provider performance through KPIs and corrective action plans.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
Lead, mentor, and develop the local supply chain team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
Manage daily communication with internal stakeholders, external partners, customers, and the Managing Director, including handling contingency situations and escalations.
Ensure compliance with Incoterms, customs regulations, and international trade requirements.
Minimum requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and/or supply chain roles, including team management responsibility.
Solid knowledge of ERP and TMS systems (e.g., SAP) and strong analytical skills (Excel, BI tools).
Fluency in English (written and spoken), and Portuguese.
Preferred skills and experiences
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Experience in an international operating environment.
Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international transportation.
Proven experience managing order desk operations combined with demand planning responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate freight rates and manage third-party logistics providers.
