Community Manager (m/f/d) for European Raw Materials Academy

Location: 100% Remote work available across Europe

Company Overview

At EIT RawMaterials, we play a critical role in Europe’s green energy transition. Our mission is to ensure a sustainable supply of raw materials essential for future clean technologies. In collaboration with over 400 partners – including top companies, research institutes, and academic institutions – we lead groundbreaking initiatives that drive innovation, education, and entrepreneurship. Our goal: a climate-neutral, resource-resilient Europe by 2050.

Position Overview: The Raw Materials Academy Initiative

The Raw Materials Academy Initiative is a flagship programme of EIT RawMaterials, designed to deliver high-impact, market-responsive training across Europe. It connects industry, professionals, SMEs with certified training providers and VET institutions to bridge skills gaps in raw materials.

We are building a large-scale network of training providers and subject matter experts to deliver custom and professional courses at scale. To drive this, we are hiring a Community Manager (m/f/d) to lead network development, coordination, and quality assurance activities – with a focus on Vocational Education and Training (VET).

The Role

As the Community Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for cultivating, scaling, and managing a pan-European network of certified training providers, particularly within the VET ecosystem. Your work will ensure that the Academy delivers timely, high-quality, and market-aligned education through a growing network of learning partners. You will play a critical role in onboarding providers, enabling delivery, and supporting the long-term sustainability of the initiative. Your efforts will directly support the Academy’s commercialization goals and strategic alignment with industry needs.

Key Responsibilities

Community Leadership and Strategy

* Design and implement the community engagement and certification strategy across Europe’s VET ecosystem.
* Develop and maintain relationships with VET providers, regional institutions, and local training partners.
* Ensure all training partners meet quality, content, and delivery standards.

Operational Management

* Lead recruitment, onboarding, and capacity-building activities for certified training providers.
* Coordinate with subject matter experts and external providers to ensure full geographic and thematic coverage.
* Manage associated risks related to partner performance and delivery consistency.

Platform & Ecosystem Coordination

* Act as the central liaison between training providers, the platform team, and other internal units.
* Coordinate closely with the Commercialization Manager to align partner delivery with the Academy’s revenue model.
* Support the platform integration of new partners and ensure smooth learner journeys.

Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance

* Track KPIs and monitor partner performance across the Academy's offerings.
* Provide input into strategic reporting, evaluation, and quality assurance processes.
* Contribute to the Academy’s roadmap, including content planning and network scaling.

Stakeholder Engagement

* Represent the Academy in relevant stakeholder meetings, summits, and events across Europe.
* Ensure community input informs the platform roadmap and course development pipeline.

Requirements

Experience

* Proven experience managing networks or communities within the education, skills, or innovation sectors.
* Strong familiarity with the VET landscape in Europe, including national/regional training providers, certification processes, and labor market alignment.
* Experience coordinating delivery with external contributors, including SMEs and learning organizations.

Skills

* Exceptional stakeholder engagement, onboarding, and coordination skills.
* Proficiency in managing operational delivery of educational programs at scale.
* Experience with digital tools and platforms for education delivery or network management.
* Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP) or demonstrated equivalent experience is a plus.
* Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills in English (C2 level); additional European languages are a plus.
* Analytical, organized, and able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Personal Qualities

* Entrepreneurial mindset and strong ownership mentality.
* Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity.
* Passionate about education, industry transformation, and digital innovation.

Travel

* Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe to engage with stakeholders and providers in-person.

Why Join Us?

* Impactful Work: Contribute directly to Europe’s green and digital transitions by scaling access to critical skills.
* Dynamic Team: Join a driven, international group of professionals passionate about systemic change.
* Flexibility: Enjoy 100% remote work with flexibility and autonomy to shape your role.
* Learning & Growth: You’ll be trained on everything you need – from tools and processes to content and stakeholder management.
