Role Description
As a Senior Consultant - Strategy, Finance & AI Transformation, you will play a key role in the delivery of strategic, financial and transformation projects for clients in Portugal and international markets.
You will support and, progressively, take ownership of workstreams involving management reports, strategic studies, financial analysis, budgeting processes, accounting-related studies, client communication and project coordination.
This is a hands-on consulting role with direct exposure to partners and clients. The position requires strong analytical skills, structured thinking, excellent written communication and the ability to manage information, deadlines and client interactions with autonomy and discipline.
Key responsibilities
* Preparing executive reports, management presentations, financial analyses and technical studies.
* Organising, reviewing and structuring information received from clients.
* Managing client requests, pending items, follow-ups and project status updates.
* Supporting strategic planning, budgeting, FP&A, accounting transformation and performance management projects.
* Researching and developing new reporting models, analytical frameworks and differentiated client deliverables.
* Learning and applying AI tools to improve internal productivity and support the development of innovative client solutions.
* Supporting the partners in project management, issue identification, work planning and client communication.
This is a full-time role based in Lisbon, with a hybrid working model. Travel may occur occasionally, including international travel, depending on project requirements.
Qualifications
* 3 to 5 years of professional experience in consulting, financial advisory, FP&A, accounting, finance transformation, performance management or business transformation.
* Previous experience in a top-tier consulting firm, Big4, boutique advisory firm or demanding corporate finance environment is highly valued.
* Strong understanding of finance, accounting, financial planning, budgeting and management reporting.
* Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to structure problems, analyse data and extract clear conclusions.
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality executive materials.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, client requests and incomplete information.
* Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, intellectual honesty and execution discipline.
* Curiosity and willingness to learn AI tools, automation approaches and new ways of improving consulting delivery.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Management, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or a related field.
