In this role, you will work side by side with our designers, acting as the technical bridge between creative vision and production execution. Your focus will be on interpreting designs, defining all measurements, construction details, and technical specifications, and communicating them clearly to our suppliers to ensure every piece is produced to the highest standard, on time, and true to Minga's bold aesthetic. Key Responsibilities: Technical Development & Specifications Interpret design sketches and concepts, translating them into precise measurements, construction details, and technical specifications Define and document all garment details — measurements, tolerances, stitching, finishing, and trims — for supplier communication Prepare clear and comprehensive tech packs and specification sheets for each style Ensure consistency of fit and proportions across the full size range through accurate grading instructions Fitting & Prototyping Participate in fitting sessions alongside designers, analysing fit, proportion, and construction quality Propose technical adjustments and solutions while preserving the original design vision Manage the iteration process between fittings, corrections, and supplier feedback until the garment is approved Evaluate fabric behaviour, drape, and construction viability during the development process Collaboration & Process Work closely with the design and buying team throughout the development cycle, providing technical guidance on feasibility, construction methods, and fabric suitability Contribute to improving product development workflows and timelines Maintain organised records of specifications, fitting notes, and supplier correspondence Support quality control by ensuring production output matches approved samples and specs Requirements: 2–5 years of professional experience as a Pattern Maker / Quality Control in fashion apparel Deep knowledge of garment construction, measurements, grading, fabric properties, and finishing techniques Proven experience communicating technical specifications to suppliers and manufacturers Ability to work across multiple garment categories (tops, dresses, skirts, trousers, outerwear) Strong ability to manage several styles simultaneously within tight deadlines Fluent and clear communicator, comfortable liaising with international suppliers Proficiency in general digital tools (Google Workspace, Excel) for tech packs and documentation Personal Attributes: Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment Excellent communication skills, both internally and with external suppliers Highly organised and detail-oriented Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proactive and solutions-driven Benefits: Hybrid work arrangements 50% Employee Discount on Minga products Social team events and activities Access to a benefits program with gradual unlocks, including health insurance, free birthday day, and an extra day off per year
