Job Description:
The SAP SCM Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating SAP system activities and operations with key users within the company. This includes developing, maintaining, and improving existing SAP solutions. The role involves working closely with other SAP Business Analysts supporting different SAP areas. In addition to maintaining the current SAP ECC system, the analyst will play a key role in transitioning to SAP S/4Hana Cloud, with Portugal being the first country in Dawn Foods to start the global S/4Hana implementation.
This position reports to the IT Director EU & AMEAP and is based in Palmela.
Fundamentals of the position:
* Analyze and assess SAP system processes and functional requirements, supporting departments in their use of SAP.
* Design and evaluate process requirements, implement solutions, configure, modify, and coordinate testing.
* Research, develop, and propose short- and long-term SAP system solutions.
* Respond to operational problems and requests, analyze and resolve issues related to operational procedures, input, and output requirements.
* Track and document changes, write detailed procedures for records and training.
* Co-lead the WM and SCM Key User Community with the Functional Owner.
* Support and coordinate with peer SAP Business Analysts on system support, change requests, and projects.
* This role supports sites across Europe, with occasional travel required.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field.
* 5-7 years of relevant professional experience with ERP systems.
* Solid experience supporting SAP-LE modules, including configuration and interface knowledge with PP, MM, SD.
* Experience in at least two full lifecycle SAP SCM implementations as a functional consultant.
* Thorough understanding of warehousing, staging, production, and shipping processes; shop floor support experience is a plus.
* Knowledge of EDI related to finished goods warehouses.
* Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
* Strong communication skills.
