The IT Support Engineer is required to manage and support technology systems within the industrial and manufacturing sector. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and delivering technical solutions to enhance business processes.
Description
Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
Provide technical support to ensure minimal downtime and resolve system issues promptly.
Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
Collaborate with departments to identify and implement IT solutions that align with business objectives.
Monitor system performance and conduct regular updates and maintenance.
Document IT processes and provide training to staff on technology use and best practices.
Coordinate with external vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies concerning technology usage
Profile
A successful IT Support Engineer should have:
Proven experience in IT support or system administration, ideally in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of network systems, hardware, and software maintenance.
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Good communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical staff.
Proficiency in documenting processes and training end-users.
Knowledge of industry-specific IT tools or systems is an advantage.
