We are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Professional with a proven track record in the end-to-end development of Scoring and Rating models. In this role, you will assume technical leadership, validating the work of junior profiles, and driving modeling initiatives that guarantee methodological quality and analytical rigor across the entire model lifecycle.
What you will do:
* Lead end-to-end credit risk modeling projects (Scoring and Rating) from data extraction to production.
* Work extensively with mortgages (Crédito Habitação) and consumer credit (Crédito ao Consumo) portfolios.
* Validate, monitor, and optimize risk models ensuring compliance and accuracy.
* Act as a technical mentor, reviewing and validating the work of junior team members.
* Bridge the gap between technical data and business stakeholders, translating complex risk concepts into actionable business insights.
What we are looking for:
* Background: Proven experience in a Big Four firm or within the Banking sector.
* Project Track Record: Hands-on experience in at least 2 to 3 relevant end-to-end modeling projects (details of these projects will be requested during the process).
* Frameworks: Strong exposure to regulated environments and credit risk frameworks.
* Tech Stack: Solid proficiency in Python, R, SAS, and SQL.
* Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical capacity, high autonomy, critical thinking, and natural leadership capabilities.
* Language Skills: Portuguese and English C1
Nice-to-Have:
• Deep understanding of European credit risk regulations (Basel, IFRS9, ECB, Banco de Portugal).
