About the Role
The Water System Optimization Specialist will be accountable for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and sustainability of the Water system within a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit.
* Lead efforts to maintain Water system surveillance, associated system health, and performance, champion value-driven opportunities, and develop company planning budgets in alignment with asset leadership team objectives.
* Closely collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams to align lifecycle objectives and drive continuous system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as the main point of contact for external stakeholders, aligning on strategies, key performance indicators, and vulnerabilities.
2. Drive continuous improvement in system design and operations to enhance safety, sustainability, and profitability by integrating monitoring and predictive technologies for enhanced efficiency.
3. Lead technical responses to incidents, coordinating with engineers and maintenance teams for swift, minimal-impact resolutions. Work with these teams to develop and refine maintenance plans, addressing deferred tasks and associated risks.
4. Contribute to the Smart Operation Production Hub by integrating monitoring and predictive technologies for enhanced efficiency.
5. Support Asset Surveillance & Intelligence Engineers in validating abnormal behaviors, defining corrective actions, and ensuring timely implementation.
6. Be accountable for the capitals spares, crash plan, crash kit, and obsolescence strategy for your system, consulting with discipline engineers and maintenance and execution to ensure alignment of the strategy and overall governance, driving closure of any gaps and implementation of recommended improvements.
7. Champion investigation into system performance and reliability, to understand bad actors in your system and strategies to mitigate and improve system performance.
8. Evaluate recommendations for new technologies and pilot projects to understand the business value overall benefit to the system and the operating asset.
9. Assist in system audits to ensure compliance with regulations, Class Society, and external benchmarking (including HAZOP revalidation, regulatory reporting, operations benchmarking, etc.).
10. Validate unplanned downtime events and associated volume loss working with discipline engineers, operations, and production engineering (daily reports, etc.).
