A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Business Controller, based in Lisbon, you will work primarily alongside the Distributed Finance team on delivering high quality financial information and forecasts to stakeholders. You will also work on process improvements and automation across the wider Gas Services UK&IE and Germany Finance team. You will have responsibility of financial matters that will help drive and shape the business.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. As a Business Controller for Distributed you will liaise with project managers, commercial project managers and PCCs to produce accurate monthly financial results and forecasts, ensuring correct mapping of depth structures and cost centers in SAP, and deliver accurate and timely reports to HQ and local management teams.
2. Drive improvements through digitalisation and process optimization.
3. Ensure the integrity of books and records for the Regional Service Unit business in the UK&IE and selected GS Central GCO projects, while maintaining an effective Risk Management and Internal Control System.
4. Perform monthly ICFR controls, review overheads, conduct cost centre reviews and manage the balance sheet for the business
5. Along with other members of the finance team you will steer the business towards achievement of financial goals.
6. Lead, support, and develop employees in the area of responsibility to ensure long-term target achievement with a highly performing and motivated team.
What You Bring
7. University Degree in a Business or Finance Field and professional qualifications
8. At least five years of experience in accounting or controlling functions
9. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all fields and levels.
10. Excellent understanding of commercial and financial principles including experience in compiling forecasts and business plans.
11. Experience in process optimisation in the Finance environment.
12. Willing to travel to the UK at least two times per quarter for a week or as required
13. Fluent in English is a must
14. SAP FICO, Tableau Reader, Power BI and Excel (expert level)
