IT Business Analyst | Porto (Hybrid)
About the Role:
We're looking for an IT Business Analyst to join a dynamic team supporting financial systems within a global environment. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with business users and project managers to analyze requirements, improve tools, support daily operations, and ensure the quality of solutions through rigorous testing. If you have a strong analytical mindset, knowledge of fixed income markets, and enjoy bridging business needs with technical solutions — this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with end users and project managers to gather and analyze business requirements
* Perform functional analysis to support the development and continuous improvement of tools
* Design and execute test scenarios, including non-regression testing
* Support business users in their daily interaction with systems (no technical troubleshooting required)
* Ensure accurate documentation of processes using Confluence
* Monitor business activities and contribute to operational efficiency
* Analyze business data using Excel and SQL
Tools & Tech:
* SQL (mandatory)
* MS Office (especially Excel)
* Jira (for tracking internal requests)
* Confluence (for documenting business processes)
* Xray, Visual Studio Code (nice to have)
Languages:
* English – Fluent (mandatory)
Profile:
* Degree in Economics, Management, or Finance
* Previous experience in a front-office or back-office environment within the financial industry
* Strong understanding of fixed income products
* Experience in functional analysis and supporting users
* Familiarity with software development life cycle and agile methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
* Detail-oriented with good communication and documentation skills
* Proactive and comfortable working in a cross-functional team
