In this role you will:
* Create and orchestrate the user research strategy and translate those insights directly into actionable design solutions.
* Conduct generative research, and rapidly prototype and iterate based on those findings.
* Facilitate ideation sessions, usability sessions, and design critiques.
* Educate designers and product team members on conducting research and adhering to design best practices.
* Champion analytic tools within our products, analyze, and report while ensuring design decisions are data-informed.
* Work with the wider UX Research and UX Design teams.
* Design within a simple, user-centered design process, generating high-fidelity designs ready for engineering handoff.
* Have design skills to transform ideas into creative, simple, and responsive designs under technology and time constraints.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, Design or equivalent practical experience.
* 6+ years of combined professional experience in an applied setting, with a proven track record of significant contributions in UX Design and UX Research.
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in UX Research, including generative, end-to-end research, and usability studies, utilizing various methods
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in UX/UI Design, including creating wireframes, high-fidelity prototyping, information architecture, and interaction and visual design within an established design system.
* Proficiency in Interaction Design and Visual Design and a deep understanding of scaling products using a Design System.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Design, or a related field.
* Experience conducting research and executing design for complex products, and working effectively with executive leadership.
* Experience managing end-to-end design and research projects in a large, matrixed organization.
* Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research and design methods, including when and how to apply them efficiently during the product development process.
* Experience in a variety of product spaces, applied research and/or academic settings.
* Proven ability to communicate and translate both user research findings and design rationale with cross-functional partners to drive impact.
