Your main tasks Develops High Voltage Contactors for E-Mobility applications according to external and internal customer requirements with focus on technical performance, design to cost, design for manufacturing and according to Automotive quality standards.
Deeply understands and guides design with regards to multi-physical characteristics of HV contactors, such as mechanical forces, magnetic forces, coil systems, contact systems, etc.
Performs electrical, thermal and mechanical tests with product samples in the concept stage and applies findings into physical product design.
During the product development, works cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Finance, Product Management and other team members.
Does product design reviews and D-FMEAs with the respective product / project teams.
Defines testing plan for qualification in according to the customer and internal specifications Supports product improvements and product modifications to increase robustness of products if requested for quality or manufacturability problems Supports analysis of process issues and root cause analysis of quality problems Provides timely and effective response and support to both internal and external customers Your ideal background Bachelor / Master of Science in Mechanical-, Electrical-, Mechatronics- or Material Engineering, Physics or similar areas At least 5 years professional experience in product design Professional experience in E-Mobility field Analytic thinking, effective problem-solving skills and risk assessment methods by using modern analysis and design tools Practical experience with testing and measuring electrical or electro-mechanical components Skills for collaborating in international, cross-functional engineering project teams Good communication skills and technical English Language skills Practical and solution-oriented mindset Job Locations: Herdade da Barba Rala, Rua Luis Adelino Fonseca Evora, Évora ******** Portugal Posting City: EVORA Job Country: Portugal Travel Required: Less than 10% Requisition ID: ****** Workplace Type: Hybrid External Careers Page: Engineering
