We are recruiting an Accounting Team Member in partnership with an international client in the maritime logistics sector.
Main Responsibilities
Ensure daily accounting operations comply with financial regulations and internal policies, overseeing bookkeeping tasks and managing financial transactions accurately and timely.
Support year-end closing process with auditors and finance teams, handling payment transactions with customers domestically and internationally, generating invoices, and managing credit card transactions.
Maintain close communication with company banks and oversee loan administration, supporting payroll-related accounting matters, including taxation and deductions.
Lead restructuring of accounting systems to drive efficiency and modernization, promoting innovation and automation within financial and administrative processes.
Assist with HR-related tasks such as private health insurance and meal card administration, developing reporting structures to enhance financial transparency, and establishing controlling systems for better financial oversight.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting leadership roles, preferably in an international setting, with strong proficiency in SAGE accounting software.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards, as well as experience in payment processing and loan management.
Solid understanding of payroll accounting and HR-related financial matters, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills for process improvement and automation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (German is a plus).
