Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) was created in 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the mandate to provide financial services for Air Liquide European entities. In four years, it has expanded to over 400 employees across three locations: Lisbon, Tomar, and Guarda. The scope was extended to include entities in Africa, Middle East, and India, and now encompasses not only Finance but also Human Resources.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Perform accounting and reporting activities by gathering, checking, and analyzing accountancy and financial information.
* Validate that all journal entries are posted and perform General Ledger Account activities.
* Retrieve and collect data to support legal requirements reports (e.g., VAT, Statistics, Central Bank, Intrastat).
* Support Finance Business Partner with year-end activities.
* Coordinate with other departments to meet closing deadlines.
* Perform month-end closing activities as scheduled.
Perform account analysis, including balance sheet reconciliations and detection of unjustified entries, as well as sub-ledger to ledger reconciliations.
* Follow up on investment orders/assets under construction with the Operations Controller and/or Plant Managers.
* Record fixed asset transactions ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS principles.
Reporting responsibilities include preparing and uploading IRIS reporting packages, verifying data gaps in IRIS and ERP systems, and supporting internal and external audits.
Are you a MATCH?
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Economics.
* More than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
* Experience in a Business Services Center is a plus.
* Experience in a multinational company is desirable.
* Intermediate English skills (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., Arabic, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Swedish) are valued.
