Job Description As a Power BI Developer, you are the driving force behind our data visualisation and front-end reporting environment. You translate complex business questions into clear, user-friendly dashboards and semantic models that support better decisions. Your core strengths lie on the frontend: Power BI design, DAX expertise, and stakeholder engagement. Experience with Microsoft Fabric however, will be considered a major asset.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesBI Development & Analytics DeliveryDesign, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service Power BI solutions aligned with business requirements.Translate business questions into KPI definitions, metrics, and clear visual storytelling; validate outcomes with stakeholders.Build and optimise semantic models (star schema, dimensional modelling) for consistent, high-performance reporting.Ensure reliability and usability of BI solutions through model optimisation, refresh monitoring, incident follow-up, and continuous improvement.Write advanced DAX formulas and M queries in Power Query for complex calculations and data transformations.Build and monitor data integration pipelines (ETL/ELT), ensuring secure and reliable data delivery from source to reporting layer.Implement data quality controls (validation rules, reconciliations, error handling) and contribute to master data consistency.Maintain accurate metadata and technical documentation (data lineage, definitions, refresh cycles) to keep data auditable and trustworthy.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate closely with business stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure successful adoption of BI products.Communicate data logic clearly — KPI definitions, lineage, and assumptions — so decision-makers can act with confidence.Apply data governance practices: naming conventions, documentation standards, access principles, and retention rules.Technology & Continuous ImprovementStay up to date with BI and data management technologies and propose practical improvements to architecture, tooling, and ways of working.Contribute to proof-of-concepts and adoption of new BI capabilities, ensuring maintainability, security, and cost-awareness.Qualifications RequiredBachelor's degree or higher in ICT, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience.2–4 years of relevant Power BI development experienceStrong hands‐on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including:Data modelling (star schema / dimensional modelling)DAX and Power QueryPerformance optimisation and semantic model designSolid SQL skills and experience working with relational data sources.Strong bonusExperience with Microsoft data platforms, such as:Microsoft FabricAzure SQL / SQL ServerDataflows, pipelines, or equivalent Microsoft-based ETL/ELT toolingNice to have / PlusExperience with SAP BI technologies (SAP BW on HANA, LSA++).Analytical thinker with a sharp eye for data accuracy and consistency.Structured problem solver who turns complexity into clear, maintainable solutions.Self-starter who thrives equally when working independently or collaborating with business and IT stakeholders.Strong communicator: you make data understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences.Customer-focused and proactive — you anticipate issues rather than waiting for them.Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
