ALTEN is a leading force in the IT, Engineering and Life Sciences industries. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to support the design, implementation, and optimization of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning and enhancement of manufacturing plants and associated infrastructure for optimal functionality and efficiency
* Develop and validate User Requirement Specifications (URS) to ensure installations are aligned with ergonomic and operational goals
* Deliver innovative engineering strategies to support both new project developments and ongoing operations
* Coordinate procurement efforts, including vendor selection, bid comparisons, and order processing
* Generate and evaluate technical documentation throughout all project phases—from early concepts to detailed engineering
* Monitor and control project scope, timelines, and financials to ensure successful and cost-effective execution
* Supervise the delivery phases of projects, including construction oversight, systems integration, equipment startup, and validation
* Collaborate closely with internal departments and third-party engineering firms to harmonize multi-disciplinary inputs
* Promote adoption of emerging technologies and methods to improve performance and operational workflows
* Uphold compliance with cGMP standards, corporate procedures, and EHS policies
* Assist with inspection readiness, staff training, and generation of technical reports and decisions
* Report to senior management on project progress, emerging challenges, and risk mitigation strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or related discipline)
* Proven experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environments
* Strong knowledge of GMP, validation, and commissioning practices
* Excellent communication and project management skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
