* Reporting to the Finance Director and in close collaboration with external advisors in Luxembourg, the Senior Accountant will be the key point of contact for all financial, administrative, and legal matters related to the Luxembourg-based entities. Initially based in Portugal, the role foresees relocation to Luxembourg after an onboarding and transition period.

* Our client is a global industrial and transport services company with its holding based in Portugal and key financial and legal operations managed from Luxembourg. As part of an international expansion strategy, the company is strengthening its finance team with the recruitment of a Senior Accountant to oversee accounting and compliance across its Luxembourg entities.
Description
* Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for all Luxembourg entities;
* Review and control intercompany transactions and reconciliations in a multi-currency environment;
* Supervise the booking and controlling of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Lux GAAP;
* Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate external audits;
* Act as liaison with consulting firms managing accounting, tax, and administrative tasks in Luxembourg;
* Develop and implement internal accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls;
* Support the Group Legal Team in executing board meetings, maintaining shareholder registers, contracts, and fulfilling legal obligations under Luxembourg law.
Profile
* Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or related field; Big Four experience is a strong plus;
* Fluency in English is mandatory;
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with international accounting standards;
* Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills;
* Detail-oriented with solid organizational and multitasking capabilities;
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
* Willingness to relocate permanently to Luxembourg after the transition phase.
